Lorene Florence Langford 81 North Richland Hills, Texas formerly of Newton, Illinois and Terre Haute, Indiana died Monday March 4, 2002 at North Park Manor in Watauga, Texas. Lorene was born in Newton, IL. on December 5, 1920 and was the daughter of Clay Byrom and Lulu (Miller) Byrom. On August 4, 1945 she married Ralph Thomas Langford who died on November 12, 1995. While living in Terre Haute she worked as a crossing guard and cafeteria worker for the Vigo County School Corp. Lorene was a member of the Christian Church and enjoyed bowling in the Senior Ladies League in Terre Haute. Her hobbies included reading romantic novels, oil painting and playing the organ.

Lorene is survived by a daughter & son-in-law Sharon & Wayne Brock; son Ralph Thomas Langford Jr; 2 grandchildren Jeff & Stacy Brock and Kerry & J.P. Rees; 2 Great grandchildren Hayden Brock and Sydney Rees; 1 sister Alene Fear and several nieces and nephews. Lorene is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers Walter Byrom (her twin) and John Byrom.

Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery, northwest of Oblong.
